The company DEPO, based in Marienfeld in East Westphalia, Gütersloh district, was founded in 1989 by Mr. Deitert with the vision of fundamentally revolutionizing milling, as his experience showed that the prevailing processes for producing complex shapes were too inflexible and extremely uneconomical. His original ideas and solutions very quickly met with high market acceptance, and the family business rapidly evolved into a medium-sized, highly innovative competence center for all aspects of the milling process. Forward-looking “Developed by DEPO, made in Germany” products and services for machining in die and mold making, tool making, prototype construction, mechanical engineering, the gear industry, as well as the aerospace and energy sectors have established DEPO as the primary point of contact for these high-tech industries.

DEPO’s expertise in machine technology, process engineering, CAM programming, and the design of cutting tools enables an interdisciplinary, holistic approach to solving challenges, resulting in economically optimized and sustainable solutions.

The development of new tool systems for challenging machining operations, as well as alternative additive manufacturing processes to milling, are DEPO’s own market-oriented goals to continue driving machining forward in a cost-effective and resource-efficient manner.

DEPO does not see itself solely as a supplier of machining centers, cutting tools, toolholding technology, and CAM software, but rather as a consultant, knowledge carrier, and service provider dedicated to guiding its customers and partners towards the best possible results and pioneering further advances in the economic efficiency of their processes.
