Abus LockPoint

The ABUS LockPoint is a modular storage and organization station for Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) in industrial facilities. It is part of the ABUS occupational safety program.

In Lockout/Tagout procedures, machines are secured against unintentional activation or the release of hazardous energy before maintenance or repair work. The LockPoint serves as a central LOTO station: for example, safety locks, locking devices, tags/labels, work instructions, and permit-to-work documents are stored there.

The LockPoint is made of metal and can be configured in a modular fashion. For example, lock bars, baskets, and document holders can be attached. Depending on the model, it can be mounted on the wall, placed on the floor, or used as a mobile unit with rollers. This allows the complete LOTO equipment to be brought directly to the machine or the work area.

In short, the ABUS LockPoint is not a single lock, but a safety center for organizing and providing Lockout/Tagout equipment.
