HP60/40 Heating Element Welding Machine by BRANSON
The machine is hydraulically driven, supported by precise positioning and control systems. It is equipped with its own vacuum pump.
Usable heating element area: Width 600 mm x Depth 400 mm
Maximum part dimensions:
- Maximum part width: 620 mm
- Maximum part depth: 420 mm
- Maximum part height (top): 350 mm
- Maximum part height (bottom): 350 mm
(Combinations of part heights possible, depending on contour)
- Maximum operating temperature for contact process: 400°C
The machine's modular frame design enables straightforward conversion and modification. The side doors in the welding area can be easily opened for quick tool changes. The automatic safety lift door provides high operator safety. Temperature controllers on the control panel feature actual/setpoint displays.
The control unit is a Siemens PLC (S7-300 control system). The heating elements are equipped with temperature sensors for temperature regulation and feature a safety shutdown function in case of overheating. The pin systems in the clamping plates ensure reproducible fixture positions.
Advantages of heating element welding technology:
- Reliable welding of workpieces with minimal or varying wall thicknesses
- Low reject rate thanks to dimensionally accurate and reproducible welds
- Precise time, temperature, and force control allows even sensitive components to be welded
- Nearly all thermoplastics can be welded by this method
- Different types of plastics can be joined (compatibility must be checked)
