Operating principle of the machine:
The turning device consists of two opposing tables, each with a support area of 1400 x 900 mm. On the side of the table that is facing downwards during swiveling, the load-bearing steel profiles are inclined upwards by 90° to ensure that the plate to be turned is securely held in a vertical position during the 90° swiveling process.
Both tables are arranged opposite each other and are swiveled by 100° by hydraulic cylinders.
The tables are mounted on a load-bearing substructure, on which one table is fixed and the other can be moved relative to it. The movement is carried out by hydraulic cylinders that can move the table, which is mounted on rollers, by approximately 300 mm. The substructure also carries the hydraulic and electrical components.
A hydraulic unit serves as the drive source, supplying the cylinders with oil according to the control commands. The corresponding valves are controlled electrically and/or hydraulically and initiate and maintain the movements of the tables required for the function in their interaction with each other until the turning process is completed.
Particular attention is paid during the design of the hydraulic system to the safety of the movement and the sensitive adjustment of the table movement between pressure and tension. The geometry of the swivel axes of the tables results in a change in the load on the tipping cylinders. The hydraulics are designed in such a way that the required power is ensured and overloading of the components is not possible during normal operation. Corresponding filters, combined with a generously sized tank volume, ensure a high availability of the hydraulic system.
The necessary electrical control is completely housed in a steel sheet metal housing, which includes all the required components. The core of the control system is a PLC, in which the operating parameters are processed according to the program specifications. In addition, the emergency stop function and all relays and evaluation units required to control the functions are installed. The turning device is operated via a control panel in which a touch panel is used to enter the function parameters such as table 1 swivel up, table 1 swivel down, table 1 forward, table 1 backward, table 2 swivel up, table 2 swivel down, as well as automatic start or stop.
