Pilot Crystallizer

Mini pilot plant for margarine, shortening, puff pastry, and other products that require mixing and cooling. A complete mini laboratory plant for research and development.

Including:
2 tanks, 5 liters each, for water and fat-phase ingredients.
1 buffer tank, 20 liters.
High-pressure pump, up to 75 bar.
3 crystallization cylinders, named A1 + A2 + A3.
2 pin mixers, named C75 + C150.
1 rework melter, C heat.
1 resting tube, named B200.
The above-mentioned units can be positioned in any possible way, for example, A1-A2-B or A1-C75-A2-A3-C150, by switching pre-assembled high-pressure piping.
The crystallizer cylinders, which are scraped surface heat exchangers (SSHE), are cooled by direct evaporation using an integrated Freon cooling compressor.
The tubes have a diameter of 30 mm and a length of 80 mm; the rotor is equipped with 2 scrapers, providing a surface area of 0.113 m² per tube.
A temperature sensor is located after each unit.
The capacity is variably adjustable, up to 50 liters per hour.

Cooling system manufactured by GEA, with an integrated compressor and water-cooled condenser.
There are 3 independent cooling circuits (for each crystallizer).

The tanks are double-jacketed, with an agitator and temperature sensors.
The entire unit is built on a frame and is mobile.
The controls are integrated and tested using an HMI touch screen control panel with ‘SpecView Inc.’ software, and the controllers are from RKC systems.
The unit can be controlled from the HMI by simply starting and stopping the individual components, but a recipe can also be created for controlling the motor speed, temperatures, and valves.
All motors are equipped with frequency converters, Siemens micromasters and 1 x Danfoss.
