HUGHES 4A

HUGHES Industrial Corn Husker – Stainless Steel

HUGHES industrial corn husker, designed for the automatic removal of leaves and outer husks from corn cobs within industrial vegetable processing lines.

The equipment allows for the continuous performance of one of the main corn preparation operations, significantly reducing the need for manual husking and providing a steady flow of cobs to the next processing stages.

Its husking system, which uses husking rollers, allows for the progressive gripping and removal of leaves as the cobs move through the machine.

As they move forward, the cobs come into contact with the husking rollers, whose mechanical action allows the leaves to be gradually gripped and separated from the surface of the product.

The removed leaves are separated from the main flow, while the husked cobs continue to the next stage of the line.

It can be integrated with:

Cob receiving systems
Conveyors and elevators
Inspection tables
Washers
End trimmers
Corn shellers
Blanchers and cookers
Cooling systems
IQF freezing tunnels
Packaging lines

APPLICATIONS

Especially suitable for industrial processors of sweet corn, canneries, frozen vegetable manufacturers, and fruit and vegetable processing plants that need to automate cob preparation.

The combination of HUGHES technology, a continuous roller system, and industrial construction provides a particularly interesting solution for sweet corn production lines for canned, frozen, or further processed products.
