ibg NDT Technology Ring Tester Large

The ibg Ring Tester Large is engineered for automated crack inspection of bearing inner and outer rings with diameters ranging from 45 to 100 mm. The system conducts a structural analysis, followed by a line-scan inspection of the raceways as well as the inner and outer diameters, utilizing the eddyvisor C. After inspection, components are automatically classified and sorted as either OK or NOK. The testing unit is mounted on a durable metal frame designed for industrial manufacturing settings, featuring integrated compartments for the steel enclosures that house the measuring equipment and PLC (including Siemens PLC).

Clean, upright components are separated, fed into a transport wheel, and accelerated into rotation via belts. At the inspection station, adjustable rollers provide lateral fixation while probes perform surface defect detection; thereafter, components are automatically sorted into OK and NOK. Prior to testing, rings must be free of particles and residual liquids. The system follows ibg’s good-part-only policy, with NOK samples reserved exclusively for checking detection sensitivity during test runs. Infeed height: 1550 mm; discharge height: 1220 mm.
