BAS 100 (STA) – Upsetting machine for band and gang saws, automatically hydraulically controlled

Upsetting the saw teeth, in addition to setting, is another method to ensure free cutting of the saw during machining. During the upsetting process, an upsetting pin is positioned in front of the saw tooth, while the tooth is held against an anvil. By rotating the eccentric upsetting pin, the saw blade material is displaced toward the tip of the tooth. Once the upsetting process is completed, the upsetting pin automatically returns to its original position.
