विवरण
Fully Automatic Board Sorting and Sawing System for Sawmills
With its fully automatic board sorting and sawing system, JAC Automation & Robotics GmbH offers a powerful solution for significantly reducing manual operations in sawmills and wood processing companies.
The system handles the entire process, from the unsorted raw material stack to the finished, sorted, and stacked boards. A reference system is already in successful operation at a sawmill.
Your advantages
• fully automatic and autonomous system operation
• significant reduction in manual handling
• relief from personnel shortages
• fewer errors due to incorrect sorting
• reproducible quality
• automatic stacking
• flexible allocation based on length and width
• automatic defect detection
• modular, expandable design
In the current manual process, an employee may have to pick up and move a board up to four times. With the automated system, this handling is completely eliminated.
Workpiece range
• Length: approx. 1,700–5,200 mm
• Width: approx. 95–310 mm
• Thickness: approx. 30 mm
• other dimensions available upon request
Automatic process
Fjdpfx Aozz Sugonkspl
The raw boards are picked up by a KUKA robot and automatically fed to the measuring and sawing station.
Length and width are determined using laser sensors. In addition, boards that are too severely warped can be detected and automatically sorted out.
Each board can be sawn at both ends. Alternatively, a pure sorting operation without sawing is also possible.
Sawdust and waste are automatically transported via a chute and a conveyor belt to a waste container located outside the system.
Flexible sorting
The reference system has:
• 10 freely configurable sorting and stacking locations
• 2 reject locations
• 2 raw material locations
The operator can freely define which length and width ranges are placed on which stacking location.
The finished boards are stacked fully automatically. Optionally, intermediate strips can be inserted between the individual layers.
Performance
With a high variety of products, the reference system achieves approximately:
• 4 boards per minute
• up to approximately 240 boards per hour
Technology
• 2 × KUKA KR 120 R3900-K
• 1 × KUKA linear unit
• Siemens S7-1500
• Siemens F-CPU
• 19" touch panel
• WinCC Runtime
• Production and piece count recording
• Remote maintenance via Weidmüller router
• Safety fence and Keyence light curtains
Individually adaptable
The system is newly manufactured and planned according to customer specifications. Layout, workpiece range, number of sorting locations, and the range of functions can be adapted.
Optionally, an expansion with AI-based camera technology for detecting wood defects and quality characteristics is possible.
Reference area: approx. 25 × 15 m
JAC handles the complete project management, including design, manufacturing, programming, assembly, commissioning, and training.
Delivery time: approx. 6-8 months after technical clarification and order release.
Europe-wide delivery and commissioning are possible.
Price on request.
