Multibend 2000 RAS 74.30 folding machine by RAS Reinhardt Maschinenbau GmbH — a universal folding machine with a swing beam, CNC control, a wide selection of segmented tools, and a working length of 3200 mm, designed for bending steel sheet (400 MPa). A manual or intelligent crowning system is integrated directly into the folding beam to ensure precise and uniform bends along the entire length. Elastic deformations of the folding beam depend on the sheet thickness, strength, properties, processed length, and positioning on the support beam. Sensors integrated into the folding beam detect its actual deflection during the first 10 degrees of bending, and the system sends commands to the actuators, which adjust the convexity of the beam, thus compensating for beam deflection. The control system stores all parameters for each new bend and uses them for subsequent operations. The bend line is always perfectly straight with the set radius, regardless of the metal thickness, length, ductility, strength, or the height and positioning of segments in the bending zone on the beam.
