MHS (VanRiet) sorter – disassembled and prepared for transport (OFFER EXCLUDES SORTING STATIONS)
Total: approx. 660 m of conveyor belts and 60 m of sorting line. Sorter ready for transport.
The sorter consists of:
a) one line of roller conveyors
b) parallel to each outbound line (3 lines) and to the returns line (1 line), there is a line (conveyor belt) for removing unnecessary cartons (leading outside the building to a baling press – not included in this offer)

c) one line with 46 package drop-off locations, each equipped with a scanner to determine the size and weight of individual packages
The capacity of this sorter is 6,000 packages per hour. Additional photographic documentation illustrating the technical condition of the items and components being valued, as well as detailed components of the sorter, has been included in the valuation.
The operating principle of the sorter involves packing the item for shipment and assigning the package to a specific transport company. The item should be packed in a box or polybag. Then, an employee scans the item and creates a label for the box or polybag. Information about the box/container is sent by the sorter to the VanRiet controller. In the meantime, the box/container is loaded by an employee onto the loading line. Products are transported down the line and then combined onto a single conveyor line. At the end of the line, a scanner with a camera identifies the product, measures its dimensions, and then the product is sorted to a designated output (package pick-up location).
The MHS (VanRiet) sorter is designed to handle products of various dimensions. It handles cartons with lengths from 150-800 mm, widths from 100-600 mm, heights from 10-400 mm, and weights from 0.25 kg to 32 kg. Polybags with lengths from 200-550 mm, widths from 150-550 mm, heights from 13-400 mm, and weights from 0.25 kg to 10 kg.
The sorter can handle up to 6,000 packages per hour, and shipments are divided into one of 46 destinations. The general layout of the sorter is shown in the diagram below. Lines 1-3 are outbound lines, and line 4 (added in 2020) is used for receiving returns.
