The heavy lathe Poręba TCG 125 x 4000 was manufactured in Poland in 1984 by Fabryka Obrabiarek Heavy "PONAR - ZAWIERCIE" plant No. 1 "PORĘBA".
The TCG 125 heavy center lathe is a universal machine tool that enables rough and finish turning, drilling, threading, taper turning, boring, turning and copying of heavy workpieces with one clamping.
The Poręba TCG 125 lathe is designed for machining workpieces with diameters up to 1250 mm and weights up to 30,000 kg in centers (with rests up to 40,000 kg). The construction layout and rigidity of the structure allows turning with large chip cross-sections and ensures high smoothness with minimal ovalization of the workpiece.
The monolithic rigid bed is equipped with hardened pads.
The great advantage of the machine is the modular design, thanks to which we can easily increase both the diameter and the turning length. The length of turning is increased by adding another part of the bed and can be extended to virtually any length. Turning diameter is increased by installing headstock, tool holder and tailstock extension blocks. All modules can be ordered from the machine manufacturer.
