Atlas Copco GA5 VSD + FF oil-injected screw compressor with approx. 5 kW output, max. 12.75 bar pressure and approx. 1.1 m³ of compressed air per minute, including air dryer and separate 500-litre storage tank (pressure tank), manufactured by OKS, both built in 2021, and a condensate pump.

The unit was used for only approx. 3.5 years in a bakery for simple pneumatic applications and for cleaning purposes, approx. 2,380 operating hours, 96% of which were in the 40–60% speed range; first commissioned: August 2021 (was only used regularly until around May 2024). Original price of the system excluding installation: approx. €12,000 net.

This screw compressor is one of Atlas Copco’s most energy-efficient compressors, the first choice for low lifecycle costs. VSD (Variable Speed Drive) technology automatically regulates the motor speed based on actual compressed air demand, enabling energy savings of 35–60% on average compared to fixed-speed compressors, depending on the compressed air consumption profile.
